Click on the Download Full Installation button to get
pv301.exe. In some cases, web filtering software may strip off the .exe extension from the
downloaded file. In this case, please rename the downloaded file to
pv301.exe
before running it. |

For a local installation, run pv301.exe and follow the instructions displayed by the installation wizard. For more details on local installations, network installations, troubleshooting, etc., consult the ProVal Installation Guide (readme.doc). |

Within ProVal, display the Help | About ProVal dialog and note your version
number and date.
- If the version number is
3.01
but the date is different from the ProVal Update date below, follow the steps below.
- If the version is earlier than
3.01
, download the Full Installation of version
3.01
above.

Click on the Download Update button to get
updt301.zip
. |
|
|
After having all users exit ProVal, unzip the
updt301.zip
file into the ProVal installation directory. For network installations,
note that the ProVal installation directory is typically on a network server and
not a user's workstation. Replace existing files with the new versions in the zip
file (the target directory should contain Provalw.exe, Pvpkg.sf, and other files).
In some cases, web browsers may cache older update files with the same file name.
After applying the update, it is always a good idea to verify that the ProVal has
updated to the correct version.

From a workstation having write access to the ProVal directory, start ProVal.
It will announce that update files were found. Click the OK button to install the
update. Then exit from ProVal, and other users can begin using the new version.

For a list of changes included in the update, see the file PATCHES.DOC in the ProVal
directory. (This file is included in
updt301.zip
).
